La irrupción del presente en Conversación al sur de Marta Traba

  • Teresa García Díaz Universidad Veracruzana

Abstract

Effects of memory and imagination can be devastating, especially if we talked about experiences, as torture, murder and the disappearance of people. Marta Traba, in Conversación al sur, opens a window where sinister situations and solitude can be watched. When updating the reading, the reader shares pavor, vulnerability and pain with real victims. Therefore, beyond tragedy, we cannot discard the attempt to recover fictitious history and distinguish and value the aesthetic resources that conform Traba’s ars poetica.
