¿Qué nos dice hoy La ciudad letrada de Ángel Rama?

Abstract

This article proposes a new reading of Ángel Rama’s essay La ciudad letrada, in the light of its formal organization and the triple contact (historiographic, literary and political) in which rest on, and inserts it in the perspective of the new possibilities that have been open by globalization and cultural studies. Besides, the author shows ambiguities of La ciudad letrada and wonders about the validity of this kind of “stories”.
