Abstract

The goal of this paper is to examine the most notorious elements of the feminine protagonist of the chivalry tale, La Poncella de Francia, upon three aspects: the translation of the feminine character to the knight pattern in stead to present it as a Virgo Bellatrix; the work's purpose that intent to exalt and comfort Isabel I, queen of Castile, thru an identification with the heroin and the actualization of the text for bring it closer to its destined audience.
