Abstract

The nowadays importance of Rosario Castellanos as writer could blur the reality about the cultural Mexican ambience, along the sixties. It could seem as a homogenous and great cultural literary group because the writers from different generations coexisted without any problem: They shared the same cultural spaces at the same time. But if we get a closer insight, we could discover the permanent confrontations because of the cultural power. In this paper, we analyze the Castellanos’ strategies for getting over it; specially, if we consider the masculine and patriarcal Mexican context.
