La metaficción y la intertextualidad: figuras de lo fantástico en La ciudad ausente

Abstract

In La ciudad ausente, the intertextuality and the metafiction links the poetic with the politic from the stories of the machine Elena, which is opposed to the distorted reality of the Establishment’s narratives. The novel makes a dialogue with other texts to reflect on the literary tradition and think about the resistance of the literature from the references to other authors who suggests other ways to read and points the monological discourse of authoritarian governments. In this paper, are taken up research on intertextuality and metafiction and tries to show how some allusions suggest a poetic of the fantastic that provides connections: Kafka and Joyce, Macedonio and Onetti.
