Abstract

This article analyzes the theme of sexual diversity and Gender in two stories by Rosario Castellanos, as well as the topic of lesbianism in the poem “Kinsey Report”. It also speaks about the homosexual carácter in the posthumous novel Rite of Initiation. With the analysis of these works, Rosario Castellanos's vision is always lucid and critical on the topic of Gender and this turns her into a pioneer, not just of feminism, but of masculine dissidents as well. Themes such as power, the struggle among homo-erotic subjects, the union of a couple who turn into enemies of each other, are themes that help visualize the problematics between the space of the hetero and the homosexual, themes that are explored by this female writer from Mexico.
